The two Horizon 2020 projects RRI2SCALE and TeRRIFICA are organising together their Joint Final Conference.
RRI2SCALE (Jan. 2020 – Dec. 2022) explored future Research & Innovation development trajectories at the regional level, with a focus on the three fields of “smart cities – transport – energy”. The project has designed and piloted a solid multi-stakeholder approach based on complex foresight analysis, in order to assist four pilot European regions to sufficiently and sustainably address their regional dilemmas in these smart fast-changing fields. These domains were selected because they are highly technology-oriented, as well as of immediate concern for citizens, but are also an integral element of regional competitiveness. TeRRIFICA (Jan. 2019 – Dec. 2022) focused on how to influence climate change policies by fostering Responsible Research and Innovation in six European regions. The project explored future visions of a climatic landscape in 2030 and exploited the possibilities of action that were suggested through a crowd-mapping tool by various actors in the pilot cities and regions. These future visions integrate RRI into climate actions where science and society actively collaborate, and new forms of innovations are co-created in the open, transferable environment. We are inviting everyone – interested civil society actors and representatives from NGOs, politics, administration, planning, science, to be part of it!
