The ETHNA System Project held its Final Conference during which we presented the results of the Research and Innovation Governance Ethical System we have designed and implemented all along the last three years and a half. During the conference we debated the future challenges in order to advance in the consolidation of a Responsible and Open Science. Sister projects, experts and entities interested in grounding ethical governance for the use of responsible research and innovation (RRI) in Higher Education, Research Funding, Innovation Ecosystems and Research Centres, were welcome.

Location

The Menador Cultural Space is a large cultural space, fitted with the latest technologies and its own programme of events for public use. The building has an exhibition hall, an education museum, training rooms and a digital library, all managed by the UJI; for its part, the city council has relocated its departments of Culture, Education, Linguistic Normalisation, Youth and several other cultural bodies to the new premises. The two institutions share the use of a conference room, a multipurpose room and the central atrium.

The original building was designed in 1946 by the architects Francisco Echenique Gómez, Luis Felipe Quijada Martínez and Mariano Nasarre Audera and is listed in the city’s Historical Heritage Catalogue. Its striking facade, in Borriol stone, gives the edifice an air of robust beauty and remains the same as in the original project.
